ND2 ist eine Klasse für diesel-elektrische Lokomotiven von China Esienbahn. Es handelt sich um ein Derivat der LDE2100 (060DA) Lokomotive von Electroputere von Rumänien. Das chinesische Ministerium für Eisenbahn begann die Einfuhr von dieser Lokomotive in 1974 unter ein Tauschhandel zu füllen eine Lücke in der inländischen Produktion Lokomotive. Die meisten der Klasse wurden basierend auf Shanghai Büro, mit einigen anderen arbeiten so weit südlich wie Guangzhou. ND2 is a class of diesel-electric locomotives employed by China Railways. It is a derivative of LDE2100 (060DA) locomotive produced by Electroputere of Romania. The Chinese Ministry of Railways started the importing of this locomotive in 1974 under a barter arrangement to fill a gap in the domestic locomotive production. Most of the class were based at Shanghai Bureau, with some others working as far south as Guangzhou. At its apex, ND2 class was the predominant passenger power south of Yangtze River. Rated at 2300 hp UIC, ND2 traces its lineage back to a Swiss design created by SLM and Sulzer. Externally, ND2 bears resemblance to AE 6/6 Swiss electric locomotives.
